Was Prince's 2004 R-N-R Hall of Fame induction class the best? What was? At www.wikipedia.org, if you type in Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame it pulls up each annual induction class of inductees, and since it's inception in 1986 20 induction ceremonies have commenced with some of the best recorded performances of artists. Of course Prince was the star and headliner of the 2004 Hall Of Fame class, but objectively if you go down the list, which ceremony if you could see them on youtube.com or something would you think was the best overall. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

Ha...you accidentally added a comma on your link, screws it up...Here's a direct link to the page you were talking about..
http://en.wikipedia.org/w...ll_of_Fame But on-topic...None of the inductee years sound that out-standing to me, but maybe I'm just weird like that. But if I had to go with any year, I would pick 2001... * Aerosmith * Solomon Burke * The Flamingos * Michael Jackson * Queen * Paul Simon * Steely Dan * Ritchie Valens ...Those are the big ones for me...

What, Prince, George Harrison, and guys that had no business making it? There have to be better years. Harrison himself should only be in with the Beatles collectively. Paul and John are the only ones that should get in on individual merit. Who else was it, Jackson Browne? Some Doo Wop group? Come on! If you're gonna do these silly subjective awards, do it right. The line needs to be drawn between good and great. You could probably limit the hall to 30 some-odd acts to date.

you guys are short sighted. What about the class that included the beatles. or the one that included the rolling stones. or bob dylan. don't forget rock n roll, and prince's funk was built upon foundations laid by other great bands..they may not have had the commercial success of todays artists, but they were very influential

Doo-Wop, gospel, and the blues is the original foundation on which Rock N Roll was built on. Rock is still a new genre of music, just a little over 50 years old. A lot of rock critics tend to forget that, so the inclusion of groups like The Dells is warranted. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR
