could just mean songs from any of his albums since, 1993 cause he hardly ever played any of those songs still, an outtake or two thrown into the mix would be very cool. especially if he's planning to put m on another outtakes set i'm with you. i'm thinking its probably just tracks that haven't been done live before. there's a nice selection from the past two records, not to mention all those records that never got supported by a proper tour. stuff off emancipation, chaos and disorder, rave... no matter what, hearing shit live for the first time makes me a little juicy. and guitar heavy shows...

Never!" and she said "How do you know? He might have played it lots of times", and I shouted back "No, you don't understand - he's NEVER... PLAYED... THIS... BEFORE!" Don't look Him in the eye!!!!!. I know people that lost alot due to the Eye contact thing. He preachs Biblical references, while being a total hypocrite!!!! Keep yo ass at home then. Ain't nobody missing U. Your just freeing up a spot for someone who cares about THE MUSIC. And if Prince was all those things, why take the time out of your life to log on to a fansite. I think it's so pathetic to get all worked up over a five minute performance. [b][Edited 5/26/06 16:22pm] you know, i was gonna skip making a comment but your last line is what urged me to type something. everything prndc said is on point and it doesn't look like he was "all worked up over a five minute performance." he gave a list of reasons why he's turned off by prince's personal (and sometimes professional) antics, explaining that this current happening is only one in a long line of poor decisions. whether or not p's attitude needs adjustment is totally relative. there are many sycophants on this site that would slurp up prince's bile if he told them too. there are others who wouldn't be satisfied if prince came into their house and performed a private show for them, sure to complain about the setlist he used. neither of those scenarios, however, negates prince's hypocritical and contradicting ways. yes, we've all known for quite some time that prince is a hypocrite. regardless, knowing it is so doesn't make it any less annoying. prince posts a bible verse telling people to flee from idolatry. he then goes on a show with idol in the title - no doubt an attempt at being clever or ironic - and acts like a god. he has no time for the little people (the contestants) but preaches from a book that states the meek shall inherit the Earth. hell, he's even got the line in one of his songs. i know prince is only human and could never live up to the perfection in the bible. he could at least make the attempt though, no? instead he chooses to throw his money and celebrity in the public's face, he opts to seperate himself from the "normal" people of the world, and he chooses to be an overall very difficult person. cool. that's his thing. but i really, really wish someone close to him would call his ass out on this sort of behavior. telling someone to keep their "ass at home" just because you don't like what they said about your idol is no better than someone allegedly ranting on a website about how angry your idol made them.

everything prndc said is on point and it doesn't look like he was "all worked up over a five minute performance." he gave a list of reasons why he's turned off by prince's personal (and sometimes professional) antics, explaining that this current happening is only one in a long line of poor decisions. You are correct and if his dissapointment is based on a list of things over a period of time, to the point where he will not pay to see Prince or buy his CD, then he needs to move on to another artist, don't come back here or attend another concert. Ofcourse that's up to him, but otherwise that wouldn't make any sense to involve an artist in your life that you don't like or gets you upset. whether or not p's attitude needs adjustment is totally relative. there are many sycophants on this site that would slurp up prince's bile if he told them too. there are others who wouldn't be satisfied if prince came into their house and performed a private show for them, sure to complain about the setlist he used. neither of those scenarios, however, negates prince's hypocritical and contradicting ways. yes, we've all known for quite some time that prince is a hypocrite. regardless, knowing it is so doesn't make it any less annoying. I'm just a different type of person. I don't believe in passing judgements until I hear from the person themselves. Until I hear directly from Prince or fully understand the truth (not speculation) of what was going on in his life when he said certain things, I'm not going to say he's a hypocrite or not. Right now, I choose to fixate on the MUSIC and nothing more. prince posts a bible verse telling people to flee from idolatry. he then goes on a show with idol in the title - no doubt an attempt at being clever or ironic - and acts like a god. he has no time for the little people (the contestants) but preaches from a book that states the meek shall inherit the Earth. hell, he's even got the line in one of his songs. i know prince is only human and could never live up to the perfection in the bible. he could at least make the attempt though, no? Bible verses can be interpreted in different ways and since Prince has not said one word as to what he really meant by it, I choose to withhold my judgement. Furthermore, didn't the AI producers make a statement that Prince was NEVER approached to be on AI to talk with the kids to begin with. The fact that you still choose to fixate on a negative rumor says alot. instead he chooses to throw his money and celebrity in the public's face, he opts to seperate himself from the "normal" people of the world, and he chooses to be an overall very difficult person. cool. that's his thing. but i really, really wish someone close to him would call his ass out on this sort of behavior. I don't know why you would say that. Back in March I had the opportunity to dance next to him on stage and shake his hand for a concert that costs a mere $31 bucks. He didn't have to do that. When I left, I was on cloud nine for weeks remembering his beautiful rendition of Beautiful Strange he performed that night. He also did not have to fly lucky fans out to his house where they can watch him only a few feet away on the same level, FOR FREE. So I don't understand what you mean by throwing money and celebrity in the public's face. And what do you mean by seperate himself from the "normal" peopel in the world. I thought it was all about the music. What do you care who he chooses to be with or not, that's his business. It's about the music, nothing else. telling someone to keep their "ass at home" just because you don't like what they said about your idol is no better than someone allegedly ranting on a website about how angry your idol made them.[/quote] I told him to keep his ass home because he stated that he will never pay to see Prince. Simple as that. But you know what, I've said enough about this stuff. Time to focus on the positive, time to get inspired, let's see...time to download "Mountains" again. how do you know he doesnt have "normal" people around him? i lived with a psychotic woman for 6 years and I was normal. I couldnt help it if she liked to pull out her eyebrows and scream bloody expletives at neighbors because she had a bad day. (dont ask how i withstood it but lets just say I needed meds at the time). Anyway, I'm pretty sure there are plenty of "normal" non fan people around him. prince is prince. he's a pimp and he probably likes it that way.

Hey to you too! No, I'm not really feeling much better. But the doctors have ruled out anything life-threatening for now. Against my better judgment, I'm still going. I plan on pacing myself the whole time and not going crazy like I usually do. Plus, I don't exactly feel like being out $1000.
