but im sure tamar's album will be massive....

i'll say it, i thought this album was going to be a hit. i really did. he was riding on the waves of musicology and his 2004 sold out tour. it actually took an effort for prince to remain so unseen during this 3121 business.

and for the record (before anyone chimes in with it), it takes more than a debut at number one to be a hit. has the cd even gone gold yet? geez...what a way to screw things up.

here's to hoping june brings a media blitz and a resurgence of interest in 3121, a great pop record!

Ihope all this lack of promotion has to to with the release of the Tamar album.. Maybe they want to sync the promotion, and now its on hold.. I really really hope this, since I think that 3121 is a very very good album.. and it deserves to be recognized.

Anyway, I still expect 3121 - the movie..

Can anyone say if the iTunes version has the mix of the video (i.e. guitars and vocals more upfront) or the album version (the one we all have already)?

BTW, I noticed that Fury is now #35 on the Prince download chart on iTunes - that's a cool feature I've never noticed before. If the rumors are true about him appearing on American Idol tonight, and if he plays Fury, you can bet this will rise dramatically (although I'm not holding my breath).
