Choose one Record You would Like Prince to Cover In full

Just curious if there was one record you would like P to cover every tune on it what might it be? Of course Prince would be given full latitude to change and produce the arrangements as he sees fit:

A couple of my choices: Billy Joel "An Innocent Man" I would love Prince to sound this happy and spirited on disc. Prince could do a funky "Uptown Girl", a stunning "leave a Tender Moment Alone", a hearty "Tell Her About IT", and a naughty take on "An Innocent Man. Not sure if he could do it better than Billy, but sure would enjoy him trying to take on this masterpiece to see what he could work it into.

I guess my fear is he would Emanicipate "An Innocent Man", and make it sound too plastic and not as sincere as it could be. Maybe Prince needs Cindy C., as it took Christie Brinkley to inspire Joel.

Prince doing Led Zeppelin II could be inspiring. He could make some interesting arrangements. I guess he already has with Whole Lotta Love. Heartbreaker would be great guitar, Sheila could do Moby Dick. Maybe I meant Prince should cover Houses of the Holy instead.

Or perhaps a Beatles recording!

Definitely Outkast-The Love Below. Then we would have Prince covering a CD which sounds like it was someone covering a Prince CD.
The beats, the humour, the rhymes, the discussion with God, the Camille like voice(She lives in my lap) etc this is classic stuff that Prince would be proud of.

Hmm. I like your choices. But you want Prince to cover himself? I would love to have a version without npg operators and he could get rid of we march and maybe now, while he's at it. wink I like his production now better.

But ultimately I would like to see him cover Skinner and Baddiel's "three Lions" for the world cup. Perhaps with a mid-song breakdown of Vindaloo thrown in.

If he ever covered U2, my brain would blow up. From happiness. It might even destroy the universe.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers any album since the one with Under the Bridge.

I also think it would be cool if he did any MJ or George Michael song. George Michael is one of the more underrated song writers during his era.

Excellent call, Kissing a Fool would be majestic, I Want Your Sex is alreay a good Prince song without his vocals, Funky Faith.

Not sure If Wham is the band to cover though.

I think I would explode if Prince covered a U2 band, but not from happiness. Thought I'd like to see Lanois produce P and add some atmosphere and layers to Prince's music.
