Cant accurately state a particular year because I grew in2 loving Princes music due 2 my Parents both being fans...
I would hang around and listen 2 whatever they played. So in a way U could say it was at an age when I was old enough 2 enjoy a particular muscian, which I'd have 2 say when I was around 5 or 6 yrs old... So thats about 1988. :p I remember clearly when I was at that age that my parents didnt take me 2 the LoveSexy concerts cuz I was too young even tho I wanted 2 go...bastads. After that song, I wanted to know more about Prince, so I asked a friend to tape something for me. He taped ´DP´and ´Symbol´...I didnt like them, but I gave them a chance and started paying attention to some details, like Michael B´s drumming on ´Daddy Pop´ or ´Live 4 Love´ guitar solo. Then, I bought The Hits and I was hooked. |
