My 9 year old loves 3121. She cant wait until he tours again.

My 14 Y.O Cousin likes Black Sweat.....not sure what he thinks of the
rest of the CD, didn't get the chance to ask him. But he says alot of
the Kids in his School like Black Sweat.

My daughter likes "Black Sweat" and "Love." That's all.
Considering that now at age 15, she finds Prince to be just 'okay,' it's not so bad

My 10 year old son absolutely loves the whole CD. In particular Fury in which he loves to sing "Aint no fury like a women scorned" whilst looking sideways at his mother and trying not to laugh!
He is a huge Prince fan and only likes the stuff we play at home-Prince, India Arie, Alicia Keys and the Australian band-The Cat Empire. He doesnt listen to anything else on radio or TV as he has no interest but loved Prince from when he was an infant. Favourite Cd is probably Gold Experience(although I try and get him to skip Pussy Control!) but I think he will replace it with 3121 as his favourite CD. His 1st ever concert was the Wiggles as a 4 year old but his second was Prince in 2004.

I have 2 boys ages 6 and 3. There are a couple songs I won't let them listen to, but my 3 year old LOVES "3121." It's hilarious. We get in the car and he says, "Mama, I want firty-one twenny one! He actually gets mad if I don't play it fast enough. Both of the boys like the part in Black Sweat where Prince says, "You'll be screamin' like a white lady when I count to 3, 1-2-3". When the high pitched synths come on they both scream (like little white boys!).

My son, 11, claims to HATE Prince, I think mainly because I like him, so he can't possibly be cool, right? But I caught him bumping his head to Get On The Boat and he couldn't deny it, so he now says he likes the beats, but can't stand his voice.

Now my daughter, 7, LOVES the whole album, especially Lolita, TAC (!) and the Dance and wants her own copy. While I want to encourage her budding Prince fandom, I'm somewhat reluctant because when she gets a CD, she PLAYS. IT. OUT. So until I burn her a copy, she really only hears it in the car with me. This means that as soon as she hears the car keys jingle, she's jamming her shoes on her feet and diving for the door to go with me.

my two-and-a-half year-old thinks that "beautiful, loved and blessed" is a mommy singing a song to a baby... the ultimate compliment coming from her (she's wild about babies).

she likes the synth at the beginning of "black sweat" and "love," and keeps asking me what they are every time. "mommy, who is making those little sounds?" she thinks they might be birdies.

I didn't mention that Sofia (4 yrs old) also loves "Beautiful, Loved, & Blessed", and she thinks it's about her. Plus, she loves female singers... Prince is the only male singer she likes.

My 2 year old says "not that song" until I get to "Love" and she says, "yes! The Oooh song" and sings along. Priceless.

Some great stories!!! I've got 2 girls & Prince is the ONLY thing we ever listen to! They are slightly brain-washed, I supposed, but they love him!!! My 4 yr old loves Lolita, 'Play the cheater song!!' & my eldest loves 3121 & Black Sweat altho we all sing along to the bit in Lolita, 'Fellas, Yeah?, How bad is that girl? Bad.etc' My 7 yr old is really quite into him & loves loads of his music, she always changes the music in the car to what she likes! She also loves Lalalameansiloveu & Gett off! I've already posted a similar story, so apologies if I'm repeating myself, but she came running into the kitchen saying 'I've got it', 'What?' 'The words on Gett Off, move your big ass round this way so I can work on that zipper, baby' Oh, erm, didn't know what to say!! Sexy MF in our house is now Sexy Mother Funker??!! & Pussy Control is about some wild cat!!! I do worry about some ofthe words, but there are worse things out there than listening to great music!! I will deffo take her to a concert if we ever get the chance, think she secretly has a crush thing going on!!

Yes, although I can't elaborate 2 much. Prince has a state-of-the-art (of course!) mobile studio, which he has named "3121". He uses this when in L.A. I can't tell U how much of the album '3121' was recorded there, but I know "Love" was one of the tracks recorded there. This is not merely a recording studio in his house... this is fully mobile. Hopefully, this will be used 4 on location concert recording in the near future!

My daughter is one and she bobs her head to black sweat. It's hysterical. She was conceived on the musicology tour and made it on stage in DC with mommy while she was in the belly so what did i expect!

I don't think my kids (2&4) have really grapsed the concept of music and listening to it for fun. I think it is just always on so they do not pay it too much attention. However, the 4 year old loves wild animals and when he heard Lolita all he wanted to know was why they were singing about a "Cheetah". I tried to explain that is was "cheater" but he did not care. As soon as he realized it was not a song about a cheetah, he soon lost all interest.
