The Hits / The B-Sides, Pt. 2! Okay, I need a little help w/ this. When P comes out with a second edition of "The Hits / The B-Sides" (which should be around 2008 or so), what do u think should b on the tracklist? Here's what I came up w/:
DISK ONE: The Hits, Vol. 1 01: "Peach" 02: "Pink Cashmere" 03: "Space" 04: "Letitgo" 05: "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" 06: "Purple Medley" 07: "Eye Hate U" 08: "Gold" 09: "Girl 6" 10: "Dinner With Dolores" 11: "Betcha By Golly Wow!" 12: "The Holy River" 13: "Jam Of The Year" 14: "Days Of Wild" 15: "The Truth" 16: "Come On" 17: "The Greatest Romance Ever Sold" 18: "Baby Knows" or "Hot Wit U [Remix]" DISK TWO: The Hits, Vol. 2 01: "U Make My Sunshine" 02: "The Work, pt. 1" 03: "She Loves Me 4 Me" 04: "Musicology" 05: "Call My Name" 06: "Cinnamon Girl" 07: "S.S.T." 08: "Te Amo Corazon" 09: "Black Sweat" 10: "Fury" 11: "Lolita" (maybe) 12: "Love" (maybe) 13: ? 14: ? 15: ? 16: ? 17: ? 18: ? when another hits package comes out, it won't look anything like this. it will feature the same songs on it as all the other hits. LRC, Purple Rain, Lets Go crazy, etc.
the point of a hits collection is to have his biggest hits on one set for the casual listener to pick up or be exposed to, not to create a brand new compilation songs that haven't been compiled in a set before. this message brought to you by logic. | |

I would add the b-sides his missed the first time such as
love or money get off/lubricated lady love left love right sex rock and roll is alive horny pony violet the organ grinder 4 the tears in your eyes (we are the world version) Plus since he never put anything on from the batman soundtrack throw in batdance, partyman, arms of orion, scandalous. Plus all the virtural b-sides now |

1 - why is 'Peach' and 'Pink Cashmere' included, they were on the first 'Hits'.
2 - Prince hasn't really had any 'hits' since the first 'Hits' album came out (with the exception of 'The Most Beautiful Girl In The World') 3 - He's anly made a few B-Sides since the first 'Hits' album, certainly not enought to fill a CD. 4 - there won't be a second edition of 'The Hits / The B-Sides'. . | |

I agree, though I think that a 2-CD "Best Of" (not "The Hits") of the second 15 years of his career (as opposed to the one covering the period 1978-1993) could become very impressive (in contrast to many others' opinion). Some tracks from 1994-2006 (the last 3 years of the 15 years are still to come!) for a "Best of" might be: Letitgo TMBGITW Dolphin I Hate U Gold Get Wild (discussable as it's NPG) Dinner with Delores Betcha By Golly Wow The Holy River The Ride (to represent "Crystal Ball") Circle of Amour The One (o.k., that's an NPG track too, but very Prince-ish) Come On (see above) TGRES Baby Knows Eye Love U But I Don't Trust U Anymore U Make My Sun Shine The Rainbow Children She Loves Me 4 Me A Case Of U 1+1+1 = 3 live (from ONA live) Musicology Call My Name Cinnamon Girl TAC Black Sweat Fury Love plus probably some tracks to come until 2009. This really makes a killer compilation imo that stands any comparison to "The Hits"... (I'm ready now to get slandered...)   | |

 Thanks 4 the help! Eye wuz just trying 2 stick 2 songs that were released as singles in the past 13 years, but eye think a "Best Of" would be much better!
