Lady Cab Driver can't have been about Vanity because she was never a cab driver.

What I mean is, if you want to take it that the songs are literally specific about certain people, then take everything literally...

I'm sure songs such as these were inspired by whomever Prince was with at the time and experiences he had, but are also just as much creations of his imagination, and as such pinning them on certain individuals is a bit mute.
