Get on the Boat So at my bible study last week, there was a discussion about the similarities/differences in evangelism, catholisism, and jehovas witnesses. Anyways a girl made a comment on how Jehova's are all about numbers and works. So ofcourse 3121 and Get on the Boat came right to my mind.
So my question is, Get on the boat, there's room for a hundred more.....is this a reference to the # of people JW'S believe are going to heaven? (Color me stupid, I thought it was about Noah's Ark!!!)

no, it isn't. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss

(Color me stupid, I thought it was about Noah's Ark!!!) IMO...its referred to Noah's Ark as in people surviving Armegeddon. When the flood came during Noah's day, only eight people survived along with the animals. But when Noah was building the ark, he was telling everyone about the Flood that was coming and as the Bible said, "they took no note" and they were washed away in the Flood. Isn't that JW number something obscure like 440,000? Get On The Boat refers to 'a hundred more' suggesting there were already an unidentified number of people on the boat; of course there could be 439900 already on the boat in which case, yes...

It could be some specific JW thing, but I heard it as an Ark reference and 100 more just means plenty more. My Legacy

I know, I'm beating a dead horse, but I'm just curious. (I thought of the ark upon hearing it the first couple times too.....) but the ark was Noah, his fam, and then the animals. So there's room for 100 more what? Chimps?

So there's room for 100 more what? Chimps? I guess I assumed that the 100 more wasn't necessarily the last 100. After that 100, there'd probably be room for another 100. It's just a catchy number. It's a reference to the ark, but isn't literally the ark, since that already happened. It's an ark for human souls. Of course I could be wrong. My Legacy
