PRINCE'S FAVOURITE SONG?

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT HIS FAVOURITE SONG OR SONGS BY ANOTHER ARTIST IS?
I WAS LISTENING TO KATE BUSH'S "HOUNDS OF LOVE" CD TODAY AND THE SUPERB "CLOUDBUSTING" WAS BLASTING OUT MY SPEAKERS AND I REMEMBER READING THAT PRINCE WAS VERY FOND OF THIS SONG SO MAYBE ITS THIS ONE, ANYBODY ANY IDEAS?

I remember during the 80's, Prince spun Bananarama's "Venus" in a club. And in '92 Prince played "Mister Dobalina" by Del the funky homosapian in clubs during the Diamonds & Pearls tour

i wasn't there myself but in december 1998 prince performed sly & the family stone's 'stand' at a show in utrecht, holland. this is how he announced the song:

"i love this next song, this is where i got my funk from. if you don't know this song, you ain't funky. and if you do, you a friend o' mine."

just listened to 'stand' and this is what he says (correct, this time):

"i love this next song. this is what i grew up on. this is where i got my funk from. if you don't know this song, you ain't funky. and if you do, you a friend o' mine."[/quote]

I guess it would b A Case Of u--by Joni.

I say this simply because he's been performing it live since the early 80's...and 2 have done it that many times..then finally put it on an album, u must like it a lot.

Did y'all know...that P lost his virginity in a car to a "Tower Of Power" song on the radio. No joke!! He said "lost" because it was the girl that took the action. I guess he was shy, then.

he definitely like "Miss You" by the Rolling Stones. Most of you probably remember his line prior to performing the song in 1998 at an aftershow (in London I guess it was) when he said to Ron Woods, "I know this song belongs to you but after we play it, it will belong to me" or something to this effect.

Also, from the same time period, he must have been really fond of "Just My Imagination".

"This belongs to you but when I get through with it it's gonna belong to me!"

Prince actually uttered those words to Ron Wood at Wembley Arena, London, during the second night of the Parade tour in August 1986 (not 1998 as stated), before he ripped into "Miss You", with guest Sting playing bass onstage (pretty badly).

And, yes, "Just My Imagination" was a Prince favourite around that time too. It's no secret he wishes he had written it himself.
