Was there actually a remix of Lovesexy that was part of the "Glam Slam" single? I just found an 8-minute version of this...and I can't really tell if it's the real deal or not. Can anybody confirm?

It was remixed by some dj..i cant remember the name...

there was a prince documentary around the time of 'lovesexy' - i can't rememebr the name of it but i think it was made by the bbc... and it had lots of tantalising little glimpses of prince recording, rehearsing, etc.

one of those glimpses was prince at the control desk, working on a mix of 'lovesexy' which was different from the album version. the scene was only about 5 seconds long but it sounded INCREDIBLE. totally frustrating!!!

anyone else remember this?

'Lovesexy' was never released as a single, and no remixes of this track have
ever leaked out. (it was going to be a single at one point, and remixes were
made for it though, but other than the brief snippet included on the BBC
documentary, the remixes have never surfaced).

'Glam Slam' was released as a single back in '88, and an 8:53 extended remix was
officially released on CD Single & 12" (it was remixed by Shep Pettibone).

This shouldve been on Crystal Ball.

I can imagine the last 10 seconds of the live version on the lovesexy tour of 'lovesexy' (are you still with me?) should've been part of the remix, some amazing 10 seconds there...

I love the song, also the live version, but the last 10 (make it 6) seconds are just... if a redbull drink could make noise it would sound like that

By the way, the remix for Eye No isn't really a remix, it's an earlier demo called The Ball.

that portion of the remix of "eye no" is intriguing! so scifi.

there is a remix to lovesexy the song.it's totally hot and i have it.it's also complete.

i should also state that it's not an official release.

Now you got me thinking about the extended version of Glam Slam especially the ending of it. Going to dust off the record.

after i found the remix i looked it up and it seems that he did remix it .so i am thinkin the one i have is his remix.i have a copy of rebirth of the flesh and it sounds of the same quality...like it came from a cassete tape.
