Sign O' The Times DVD

I went to a reckord store the other day and there they sold the SOTT DVD for only 9 dollars. I know it's cheap, but I have to watch my economy and, as crazy as it may sound, I don't wanna buy it only because it's Prince. Should I buy the DVD? What am I to expect?

Don't buy that. It must be the cheap crappy Sign O' The Times DVD from Brazil.

Buy this Sign O' The Times DVD online:

It's from Canada, by Alliance/Atlantis.

i wouldnt buy that one.
The sound editing is out by about half a second.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

CaptainJack

I have a SOTT DVD from the Netherlands.
I think the quality is good, but it's not remastered.
And of course, it rocks

Buy it and U'll know! That's not a good answer but there's too much to say so I don't know where to begin, but I've got about 30 P's Dvds (including the boots of course), and if I had to keep only 3 of them, this one would B on the list.Every song is great on CD, but unforgettable live, so buy it, buy it, BUY IT !

If you are saying you don't have the Sign O The Times Concert then by all means hell BUY IT!!!!! Make sure it is the correct not a dodgy boot one, turn up the sound system, sit back and be prepared to be blown away. Love it when he gets on the drums, Forever In My Life is awesome, The Cross gives me goosebumps. I won't go on but.....
In the distance a light shines and I know it is mine. Someday I will touch it because it calls me. It says cross the line, cross the line. I know everything is not always what it seems, so I pinch myself daily just in case it's a dream

Ok, I've bought the DVD now! They just had the Dutch version, but it's good!

I haven't watched it all in one go yet, but I do understand now why it's so talked about! Wow! There's a lot going on on stage and the way the whole concert tells a story is just brilliant! And the energy and all...worship

There were a bunch of bootleg quality dvd's released in the past year, the Brazilian one, I think the Dutch one, they are homemade in quality compared to the canadian/uk one that came out last year.

On the good dvd, the picture quality is as clean and sharp as a modern dvd should be (compared to a new release like Revenge of the Sith, it is just about as nice), and the sound is a 5.1 surround mix of beautiful quality. They actually went and created a hi-def video master of a flawless film print with the original sound tracks to mix into 5.1.

Ok. Well, the picture isn't so very great, but the sound is 5.1 dolby surround. I'll stick with this one, for now.

I have that one too, it's not actually 5.1 sound, they just repeat the same audio on the rear channels. YUCK!

I'm not so very technical so I don't know what that means. Anyway, at least I have it and it could have been a worse one!
Prince is such an awesome performer, his charisma shines through every bad picture.
