We should start and online petition for the Remastering of Prince's albums. I constantly see/hear Prince Fans who would readily spend money on re-mastered Prince Albums. Someone, with more web knowledge than myself, should start an online petition asking for re-mastered versions of Prince's albums from 1978-1988. I don't think we should put in ay specific requests, because every fan has their own dream version of what extra material should be included.
The point is that the internet gives fans a clear voice and would allow for a huge number of fans to communicate to Prince/NPG/WB that the same fan base that made 3121 debut at #1 would also buy re-mastered versions of the albums that desperately need it. Why don't we do this? Would it be difficult? What more would you need than a website, names, and so forth? "New Power slide...." |

Can anywone say 1999 The Remaster Remember around Gold Era when rumors were running that he was going to rerecord all the hits and some fans had interest..well 1999 the Remaster. exactly. | |

Could someone please explain that remixing or re-recording means something else than remastering?
Anyway, considering the remasters will be given the waves plug-in treatment, I used them along with pro-tools, so i've got them already, and believe me, 1999 and Black Album especially are much better sounding than I'd ever expected them to. | |

Prince would probably want to edit or alter them.
He had two songs pulled and replaced on the 'Ultimate Prince' set, which is a remaster. Well, either Prince wanted to alter 'Ultimate' or was pressured to. Whatever, the same end result. | |

It started about 10 years ago when Prince went independant and every some what years someone starts another petition which gets signed and sent to Paisley Park and WB with no feedback or interest shown whatsoever...
