Prince and the Electric Pugatory

I attended a screening of the documentary called “Electric Purgatory” by Ray Gayle last night at Morehouse University in Atlanta Georgia. The only thing that I can say is, if you are a fan of music, especially ROCK music you need to see this film. I don’t want to spoil it for you but it’s a ROCK history lesson. I’ learned some things that I did not know about Rick James and others. It was extremely enlightening.

Prince was a central figure in the film as well. They talked about his role then, now and what it could be in the future of Rock.

After the movie there was a Q&A session that was quite interesting as well. I also got to meet JOI which was cool. I knew I would run into her sooner or later.

If you get a chance, please just out this film. You won’t be sorry.
Ray, thanks for the invite.

Check out their website. Has the trailer for the flick too.

It has a forum section but is under utilized i.e. nobody goes there or knows about it. I think given the right amount of exposure they could be afropunk.com

Im waiting for the flick to be screened again on the west coast

I really got quite a bit out of this. I need to EXPAND my mind a bit on "rock". Other than Prince, I really don't listened to rock.

I went to the concert last night. It was pretty good. They had this one group called 3 Five Human. Very nice.....they may have converted me to a "rock fan.
247 Spyz was there but it was LOUD. They chased me out of the joint.
