Probably Susannah, Lisa and Wendy got too close to him and that freeked him out considering he seems like a person who likes to keep somewhat of an emotional distance from people.

But also he probably just didn't want to go in a direction that he didn't feel the Revolution would follow very well.

He was travelling into a More FUNKY DESIGN ya know with SIGN and all. Is he or was he AFRAID of getting CLOSE or getting TOO CLOSE?
