He's seen as someone who has their best days behind them and they're not interested in the effort it takes to revive interest in him. Heck, even having the number one album didn't create a surge of interest in DJs playing Black Sweat and therefore going up in the US airplay charts. I dig. If your logic is true, (and I believe that it is) why would Prince release any singles? I can only think the vain hope that it will take off somehow someway. I think you can tell by the lack of remixes, extended versions or non-album b-sides that Prince is not really putting a huge amount of effort into singles recently. I fully expect the b-side if any will be an album track; Love, say? I half expect that Prince won't even bother doing a video, perhaps he'll just borrow the SNL footage and use that? Yes, it looks pretty cool. Soon we'll know what it really looks like... And I think it's a good choice to have Fury as the next single. It has the potentials of becoming a hit and I dig it!

I think the problem with Fury is not the vocals or the synths but the solo guitars. Sounds way too much like one big feedback mess to be played on the radio.

In a Belgian magazine Fury :finally a song we can call
genius,it's been a while I know it will get a lot off airplay on our national Rockstation, but I don't think it will hit the charts. Once again;it would do better with a stronger production, sounding like Endorphinemachine or so.. Love4oneanother
