I'm pretty sure I've seen that shot in color, from one of those bio books from the 80s... I think it's yellow/gold. I'll take a look.

It was green on some foreign pressings of 1999 wasn't it?

It was yellow. Prince almost had a regular straight leg style pants in 1983 as he wore the straight legs at the famous 1983 First Ave concert. Then he went back to the ruffle pants leg made famous from the 1999 era.
