Have A is, together with ONA (THE SONG) the only songs worth mentioning of ONA (THE ALBUM).

WHAAA??? Gooey, you're hurting me!!! I like the whole thing, though everytime I hear Avalanche it makes me long for the version he did live - stomps all over the ONA version. Objects in the Mirror has a wonderful hook & I've always dug Here On Earth & A Case of U. But here's what's really killing me: how can you NOT include U're Gonna C Me in that statement??? It's only the best song on the album! If you don't like it, tears will be shed... they'll be mine so maybe you don't care, but there will be crying...

Calhoun, I was feeling like "Have A Heart" and "Objects In The Mirror" play more like one long song than two different ones..."Heart" talks of a rather bad break up of a relationship, then segues nicely into "Objects", which talks of a beautiful relationship...only to end up seguing right back into the melody of "Have A Heart"...it plays as if "Objects" is a memory from the relationship referred to in "Heart" before it went bad, only to return to the reality of what's happened by returning to "Heart"'s melody...and "Objects" is so melancholy and absent of melody almost to the point of randomness--much like our minds are when we have a sad memory of happier times...

Aerogram said: The transition is hardly over. I think the U Tell Us questions hint at a more aggressive promotion of Prince's religious beliefs. TRC was full of religious lyrics, but even though it's not the all emcompassing spirituality of Lovesexy, it's still not as specific as it could get. Sometimes, I think Prince is saving his "rock" persona for a more direct approach to his new beliefs.
i totally agree with he does not want his image to get in the way of his message that's why the dancing and major emphasis on the show has stopped .[This message was edited Thu Jul 18 20:10:03 PDT 2002 by Aerogram]
