I just don't understand, i ama fam, and I thought that this place of all would be aplace where I would be welcome, you know it seems like a Prince page should be most enjoyed by his really hardcore fans, not people he seem to hate him. If you don't like Prince, or haven't liked him for years, then here is the question I ask you: why are you here? I am not saying that 'you shoudl leave' and 'you are bad', I just want to know why you enjoy this site. Is it to talk to other people who don't like him? maybe you guys would have a better time at an anti-prince page. go ahead, get all pissed off at me about this.

i am new to prince. ppl. like icenine exploit fams. so ask him. i think fams are a bit overzealous for prince. his farts, etc. i like the music of prince. his songs have not meant anything for me; nor vocally nor lyrically. i just like the music. the reason i come here is just to meet ppl. and have fun.

Referring to yourself as a "fam" illicits a sense of blind worship or Prince for some. I'm not crazy about the term myself.

also, fam stands for family. yet fams are not treated like fmaily by prince.

I do feel like he terats his fams like family. I am not intersted in his farts, nor do I blindly worship him. I have my beefs with teh man, but Ialso really respect him, and I am absolutely crazy about him. I really love being (or trying to be) a very hardcore Prince fan.

I totally agree and everyone that hates Fams Blows! There is nothing wrong with Loving him and his music . Oh course you gotta keep everything in perspective. But you shouldn't be laughed at for being a Hard-Core Prince fan or Dressing like him, or wearing his Symbols,or clothing. People Suck sometimes!

I just can't believe this is still an issue...

btw, I'm a big Prince fan but that doesnt mean you have to blindly follow and like everything he does.

If you read the posts on this site, you will start to notice something. It's the "casual fans" who always say they get into the private Prince parties and shows.

There were some posts here just this week from somebody who was applauded for saying they don't really care that much about Prince as a person, they only care about the music.

Just remember something: Its the casual fans who get invited into the private parties and are spoken to by Prince, while the "hardcore fams" dressed in their purple sequins and holding their "I love Prince" signs are left outside. If he's feeling charitable, sometimes I've seen him shrug his shoulders or roll his eyes at his fams who are "absolutely crazy about him."

I don't understand why he has such an issue with the so called Fanatics? The ones that Actually Do GIVE a Shit about HiM? I would rather have a bunch of Fams or Fanatics that TRULY LOve and Adore me and my WORK then some Lame-os that couldn't give a Rat"s Ass if I lived or died and Know Virtually Nothing about myself or my CRAFT! I can understand not cracking up and causing SCENES. I can Certainly Understand that. But to Dis his biggest Fans is just plain Wrong! A "fam" will disown their family if they call Prince a big-headed midget.

A "fam" might very well try to beat you up if you say that Lovesexy sucked.

i love the man's music. i absolutely love it. if i'm not listening to it, then i'm singing it. but although i think his music is brilliant, i truly feel that prince himself is just a giant ass! so i'm here at the org mostly to talk about the music, but i can't always keep my feelings about the man to myself. does that make me not welcome at prince.org? later..

This is only my opinion, but I believe that a person calling themself a "fam" is a sign of their blind acceptance of Prince's rhetoric.
