Musically, I love where he's at now. Its so much better than most of the crap he put out in the nineties.

Now that 'One Nite Alone...' has been mentioned, I now find myself playing the 'Intimate Moments' piano sessions CD alongside ONA and it works a treat.

Interestingly both pieces of work have exactly a TWENTY YEAR GAP between them...

Oh yeahhh man, totally have. I love TRC - it's pure genius. The lyrics seem to piss a lot of ppl off, and although I don't understand all of his meanings behind his lyrics, I totally love the music and the flavour of the album.

Quite simply, it's no more than 'where he's at today'.

No. Cant say I have. Hopefully I will, if not its gonna be a painful ride 4 me.

Even if Prince is still the cheeky, witty, macho guy he seems 2 B I still cant help but feel dissapointed in the demise of his Baddassness.

And I much prefer the raunchy, sexy funkyness of his prior self...

But I am sticking with it...mainly because I cant help myself.
I Love the guy...his music is in me and I still want 2 meet him.

Loved ONA cd, but The Rainbow Children took a bit longer to catch onto. After listening to his concert in Chicago, I'm know getting back into The Rainbow Children.

The transition is hardly over. I think the U Tell Us questions hint at a more aggressive promotion of Prince's religious beliefs. TRC was full of religious lyrics, but even though it's not the all emcompassing spirituality of Lovesexy, it's still not as specific as it could get. Sometimes, I think Prince is saving his "rock" persona for a more direct approach to his new beliefs.

I know that you are aware of the facts... this is for anyone who might have missed the point:

I HATE RAP/METAL ACTS!

In fact, I hate all that rap crap. In effect, I was making a sarcastic comment when I said that I want Prince to do rap/metal.

C'mon people. As far as The Rainbow Children goes,Prince is really trying to get listners to genuwinely think about the world we live in, where we are from, how long it has taken us to get here, and how far we must go to get to where we need to be!. It is just that simple. The text and the music behind TRC is beautiful and riviting. It is eye opening and ego breaking at the same time. It lets us know that we are all God's children and we really should treat one another as such, locally and globaly. Prince makes us define within our own being just what the term, selflessness, really means and WHY???
Listen to it all by yourself, without any interruptions or outside influences and it will flash across your mind's eye with the swiftness of a hummingbird bound for home!!!

I love the ONA live shows, I still hate TRC.
I miss the beautiful outfits he used to wear.
The back of his hair looks terrible.
I miss his beautiful hair.
I hate the feeling that Larry is the boss, and someone is watching him.

But I even love the new Prince.
I love his openess to the fans.

I wish Larry would take his shoes and go fly a kite.

The ever continueing journey we call life.
He keeps changing. Do not like every change, for me TRC does NOT work, but One Nite Alone (the song) DOES.
He is doing the colours again...
Still waiting for GREEN though...

Musically I'm adjusted. Although I've gotten over my initial intrigue with TRC, I still think it's a terrific cd. His fusion of so many styles into one 'blues-funk opera' is brilliant. After hearing it at the celebration 2001, I said it was his most cohesive, creative release in a decade. I'll still stand by that.

His beliefs are a whole different thing, though. But, as I learn to leave the room when he preaches, I'm getting okay with that, too. It'll just be a shame if I start spending more time avoiding these parts of the shows than actually enjoying him, but we'll see what happens...

Considering he's been in 'transition' his entire career . . . yes, but I wouldn't consider it adjusting. Either I like the music, or not. Prince has strayed into the blahs on a few cuts, but overall, no complaints.

This is my opinion also. After attending the Chicago shows I have a better appreciation of TRC. The shows opening was awesome.
