Ok, you may have a point. Prince is fluffy and sentimental a lot of the time, you feel some teenage angst. To each his own, I love that record to death. Bambi ain't fluff anyway.

Havent heard all of his albums, but here's from what I own:

Purple Rain: ***** classic pop album

Batman*** average. Too overtly commercial, but still a few gems like "Scandalous" and "Electric Chair"

Diamonds and Pearls **1/2 Lackluster album. Even the good songs arent so original. Main highlight is "Gett Off"

Emancipation *** Had potential to be a great album, but it's kinda bloated. Should have been trimmed

NewPower Soul* Horrid

Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic **1/2 Some true gems, but alot of the songs sounded like they needed more polishing. Overall, very inconsistant

The Rainbow Children ***1/2 Lyrics are a bit too out there, but the music is superb

Musicology **** Great return to form. Not terribly outstanding, but enough to please a Prince fan(dont know why so many of you hate the album)
