Listen to at 2:45 into "Beautiful, Loved And Blessed" I know you're all by now accustomed to it, but I can't believe this guy is already pushing fifty. That's like a twenty-something's voice rather, not even a trace of middle-age to be heard there. I thought on "Musicology" his voice had started show some age on some cuts, but this new stuff once again - whilst necessarily not the very best of him vocally - has him sounding exactly like he has sounded all through his adult life. BL&B is becoming my favourite song on the album... dunno why, it goes against everything I have liked in music... It just reminds me of Space (universal Love remix) and at the same time is so clear and crisp sounding with great harmonies and not totally over produced as he would have done on Rave or Emancipation... |
