Poor, lonely bootlegs

Without soliciting for bootlegs and dodgy links to where they may be obtained…

A bootleg discussion. Too much 3121 hype around, we cant let the hidden gems be totally forgotten.

It Aint over (ONA Boxset) – Is this the best aftershow CD or what? Better than the myriad of boots out there? I know it’s a bit of a cheat not being a single show, but it still kicks ass. Better than Small Club and For Those on Valium. What era and what show really does it for you?

I recently aquired a DVD of the Musicology show but it was such dire quality I haven’t even gotten past the first song. I cant recall where it was taken – Atlanta maybe? but it was most definitely filmed with a camcorder from up high somewhere. At the same time I aquired on DVD an old TV special of the Nude tour in 1990 in Japan. Its actually quite good! Obviously copied from an old VHS tape which was deteriorating, but enough quality to enjoy.

Official DVD’s aside, what would be your favourite boot of a live concert and/or tv special?

I love the recordings of concerts i've been to (no i did'nt make them)

My favourite is a 1981 recording, atlanta i think when he does mainly controversy and dirty mind tracks.
In head, the woman asks if hes gay
and he replies , no! is yo mama?

The crowd goes nuts.It give me goosebumps.

ok.I just read that back, and i did'nt go to the gig in atlanta, its just my favourite. i think i was playing buckaroo and watching monkee at the time.

I also like a purely instrumental rehearsal for the tour with carmen (nude?)
called Skin Tight.

IMHO the Vega Ona aftershow is so much better than It Aint Ova.
Especially when Prince threatens to end the show and go back to his hotel after his picture is taken. lol
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

Definitely, the live boots are the best! I've only heard a fraction of what's out there, but I'm lucky enough to have a couple from shows I was at. biggrin I can't pick a favorite, tho, until I hear them all! hmph! lol
