LOVE, 3121, THE WORD, Are absolutley fantastic tracks in my opinion and i cannot wait to hear them live ! I have nt been so buzzing about a prince album since 'GOLD'

I hope he comes to the U.K. soon (manchester) but i will travel anywhere to here these songs live.

About time prince released something as exciting as 3121 my only dissapointment is the choice of singles released..he always seems to pick the weaker tracks!

LOVE would be a sure fire hit in the U.K. i have it on all the time in the car pumping out....I LOVE IT

Im sure that a lot of people will agree that these 3 tracks are the most catchy.....but incense and candles !!!!! WTF ! enough said! hahahaha

I'd say... "The Word," "Love," and "Fury (SNL version)" -- I can't wait either... to hear these on radio to be enjoyed by the masses, to see the cool videos, and to experience 3121 live and in person.

I love this album...the Gold experience was probably more exciting to watch live ,as a tour, but this album sounds a bit tighter..TGE is a great album , but the live versions were much much stronger in comparison to the studio versions of , say , Endorphinmachine, Now, Days of Wild etc.

3121 ( the song) kicks major ass, The Word is something I can´t get enough of, Love is reminiscent of some tracks from Emancipation´s disc 3 or songs like I wanna melt with U , only much better.

I also dig Incense and Candles and Beautiful, Love and Blessed and Fury and The Dance ( though the middle piano part is weird)....Only song I simply can´t get into is Lolita..and Satisfied is better than On the Couch ( which I dislike) but nothing really special as a ballad..Adore, Insatiable etc. were, IMO, better.

So, two tracks that I skip, and the rest is a great album.

Love, The Word and The Dance with it's amazing dept of emotion.
3121 is a great opener.
This album sounds like Prince has made another Masterpiece.
Honorable mention goes to TAC, Black Sweat, Fury, I & C, BL & B and Get On The Boat.

This is a fantastic album...but I also liked TRC and some songs on Musicology, I even liked half of Newpowersoul (can´t seriously dislike Come On, Wasted Kisses, The One, When U Love Somebody etc.. only songs I really hated on NPS were I like Funky Music, cuz it was the opposite of its title, and Push It Up ..the rest was good for what it was..didn´t we all want him to release whatever he wanted back in the day ? So there you go...and I even liked some parts on Kamasutra and NEWS).


But you´re right, I can´t wait for the tour, and these songs are much more accessible than some songs on the previous albums...but I still LOVED TRC´s title track , She Loves Me 4 Me, Digital Garden, Family Name,Last December, Everywhere and the music of Mellow...so , I guess that´s more songs I like than on some of his classic albums such as Controversy or DnP or Graffiti Bridge.

The WORD, LOVE, GET ON THE BOAT are AWESOME BUT I Cannot Pick cause I LOVE BLACK SWEAT, FURY and Every Song is killer to me. It's so DANCEABLE and SPIRITED and FUNKY.....GET ON THE BOAT is SO COOL.....

Don't ya Realize Camille has made ANOTHER APPEARANCE on 3121? Maybe this is why the SEX.....And I swear this is Reminiscent of LOVESEXY this Track....I hear Dance On Style on this album also.....I wish he would have some MAD CHOREOGRAPHY and stuff like his LOVESEXY TOUR had.....Theatrics again. Maybe he'll ACT again.....

Ok at best, it sounds like TRC's leftover-- I don't care how Camille reappears. It isn't sexy, it isn't provocative, and its the snoozetrack of the album.

As you can see they range from good to brilliant. Te Amo Corazon may be my least favourite, but its still good, needs a bit more funk but its a great Prince seduction ballad with a latin flavour to boot.
At the other end of the scale, love is so catchy and infectious, Tamars vocals push the sexometer up and 3121 is the original slow cooker, I didnt like it to start with but it began to grow on me, and grew and grew it did. You will notice to the the faster and funkier cuts rate near the top and I agree with two of the 3 songs on this thread.

I totally disagree about 3121 - to me it seems to hurt in my ears. Was really excited when ppl compared it with Erotic City, 1999 and Camille stuff. But nay, it sounds like scratching chalk on a cupboard to me.

Also, I don't see to much value in "Love". It seem to be lacking a good chorus to me...

I think Fury is great (better production would have benefited the song soundwise), and The Word. And musically, I like TAC.

But maybe that is the genius of Prince - he has some songs for everybody

But - and please don't call me a hater - after 3121 I listened to Lovesexy, and I do know which album I prefer by miles
