i don't know about that.. it seems to be holding up pretty well as the #2 album at amazon outsetting all the releases from last Tuesday..i know its a small sample but it is still encouraging and also the publicity its been recieving for being the #1 album has to help a bit

I'm surprised I haven't heard any news of upcoming Prince appearances to promote the album...

It's projected to be at number 9 next week.

I wonder why P isn't doing any appearances.

yea i agree this wasn't promoted by Prince at all like Musicology was..maybe he's waiting for a drop in sales then promote that would make sense seeing that he cant rely on radio stations playing any new singles to boost sales later on like other artists can

Bet your ass ol' boy is in tour rehearsals w/ blackwell & co. & will do some tour warm-ups w/ tv appearences etc.

all I know, is I've seen Black Sweat played on VH1 much more often then I saw Musicology. It's radio that's killing this cd. freakin kelly clarkson, etc..etc..etc...

Well now everyone can go back to how the charts don't matter.

Fact is, the album is weak and isn't good enough to spread via word of mouth. It's sold less than Musicology in 2 weeks and dropping like a bomb. He's gonna have to give them away again if he wants to stay on the charts by the time he starts touring.

The album debuted at #1 and Prince has no radio play. It's still in the top ten. The music industry is not what it used to be -- many, many albums fail to sell at all and most drop badly despite "quality".

Actually T.I's movie wasn't bad!
The Movie was pretty decent and it didn't showcase alot of violence at all or make blacks look bad, it just focused on things T.I could relate too in his upbringing. Everyone knows all blacks or latinos don't grow up in poverty.

As for "3121" being called a weak album. Why don't you just go and listen to an album you think is strong and stop trying to diss prince and his music.

"3121" is a very strong album, its gotten great reviews and its selling well considering theres not much promotion.
I bought T.I's album and its not as good as "3121", but then again T.I and Prince are not on the same level.

I love T.I's Urban Legend, but there's about 3 good songs on this record and its gonna debut #1!

So ur not calling that weak!

"3121" has 12 great trax on it!
