I think Graffiti Bridge came out right before straight to video became popular. Because there's NO way a movie as horrific as GB should've been released in theaters. As a Prince fan I loved the music and the performances, but the acting was terrible, The story line was odd. And the whole movie looked like it was very cheaply done. The set looked like something you'd see on one of those daytime soap operas. My favorite scene was also the "New Power Generation" performance. Prince rocked it on that one.

I read a kiss and tell in the news of the world (must be true) by anna garcia. He had dumped her (allegedly) after she posed nude. She talked about him making her clothes, and specifically a coat from pink cashmere, there was a picture of her in it, it was like a skating coat,. it was well in advance of the release of that particular track.I digress jill jones dropping her knickers. I heard a rumor that Warners tried to convince Prince to release it straight to video, but he absolutely refused I also heard that, the only reason Warners funded this movie is because they mistakenly thought that Kim Basinger was gonna co-star.She was Prince's girlfriend for awhile and Prince sorta "used" her to get them interested in this project, lol.

My favorites?
When Jellybean pulls Prince's hair. that was kinda funny. was that Jellybean? didn't Jellybean kick Prince's ass in a deleted scene from Purple Rain too? I like the scene where he crawls on top of Aura when she wakes up. Hell I like anything showing Prince crawling up on anybody.. or anything. He sure used to do a lot of crawling. that film was a cinematic dung heap.

"Graffiti Bridge" is one of the most embarrassingly lousy movies I ever saw at a theater. I felt like a fool taking my girl to that one

When Prince performs "New Power Generation." I actually thought it might be a good movie. But lord was I wrong. I even went to the preview screening, had the unedited cut with the "Can't Stop This Feeling I Got" footage. There was also a scene where Prince is lying on his bed, sneaks his hand down toward his pants, then Aura magically appears in the doorway and he's all like, Aw shit, I wasn't doin' nuthin! The audience was ROFLing. It was ridiculous. [Edited 3/29/06 2:50am] Did u see the 2 1/2 hr version ? Tell us more scenes that were not in the released version....
