The 185 thousand units were bought by his loyal supporters.

He don't have new fans, that is a fact...i don't like it, but that is reality....

As a new fan I consider someone that didn't bought a prince record and didn't listen to prince before.
Listens to a single or the album and says: "wow, thas great, i like it and must have it."

I believe, that there are very few people out there with this feeling. That is the reason why he doesent sell really lots of records over a few weeks.

It's true here are very few of those out there for any artist these days. You can now buy a single or album track online without even having to go to the record store, like backinaday.

prince is number one as "new release" in AUSTRALIA according to SAIN magazine. Sain is australias most reputable and finest music (album) store, with outlets australia-wide and i read that about prince in their free monthly magazine today. They used to sell the B-sides ALBUM (3 cd set) back then, and i vaguely remeber seeing D&P in a SAIN-store as a pre-teenager.
AUSTRALIA LOVES PRINCE. and hip-hop and rap and regae.. actually appreciate all music in general alot and DON'T down play it at all.
