Looks like maybe just a week with the new TI CD coming out tomorrow.

Still, number 1 would be absolutely awesome even if just for a short time.

The next question would be, how far does it fall after the first week and how long does it stay in the Top 10?

I think it will only be a one-week stay, but that is still incredible for Prince. I think it will hang around the top 10 for 3 weeks.

Like most albums it will be a one weeker. Typical albums that debut at #1 see about a 60% + drop off the next week

I sincerely hope that it will go to #1. I think that's
something Prince has been trying to "prove" himself
with for the last decade, that he can still have a #1
album (despite the fact that he says he doesn't care).

However, I do think it will drop to 87 or something in
the second week lol.

Better make sure they lift a great single off it with
some decent club remixes, a good video and a killer
non album b-side or two.

My guess is it will only stay there one week but if it is quickly added to iTunes now, that could give it some extra momentum for it's second week.

And he'll probably start hitting the talk shows now. That'll drum up some interest and keep him from falling off so quickly; plus they can introduce him by saying he has the number one album in the country.

Next week either Tim McGraw or T.I. will be number one.

There hasn't been much radio attention or at least some major media push for sales to increase in the next week.

However,

Sales will still increase consistently for the next few weeks...

Week 1 - 185K
Week 2 - 70K
Week 3 - 45K
Week 4 - 35K
Week 5 - 15K

Those are just predictions after looking at what the chart consist of now and what the public buying habits are at the present moment.

If Prince makes another big media push in the next few weeks on the radio and on television or something, then sales may increase, but until he goes on tour the sales will decline from here... This isnt a real impressive first week, considering the amount of promotion that was given to the album. The first single for the album came out earlier in January. Sales for this album should have top 250K or so...
