I agree with that, but it would be nice to see that message transmitted on a large scale. Prince deserves to be recognized for his efforts here, and I truly hope the sales come through for him. Many of his great works sadly went without a large audience. It doesn't make them inferior, and chart positions certainly aren't the end all/be all of the industry, but it is nice for good art to be recognized. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you! | |

Don't shoot the messenger. oh lawd! music is good or bad regardless of what it sells. awful music has sold millions...you're right, sales don't somehow make it good music. nonetheless, "you can bet your bottom money" prince cares about the numbers far more than any of us do. if he didn't, he wouldn't court major labels for one off deals. if he didn't care about numbers he would not stop in and perform at record stores on the night of a new release; he would not have a purple ticket contest; he would not play the game. and you know what? there's nothing wrong with caring about all the different measurements of success. he worked hard on a collection of songs, why shouldn't prince care if they are enjoyed by the public? | |

1999 + 3121 + 2006 = 7,126 well lets add the lucky number 7 so about 7,133 which adds up to 14 divide that by two because thats the amount of years between musicology and 3121 and ur back at 7 which 3121 adds up to.....yea im bored. | |
