I've seen him LIVE only FOUR times!

1) 1983??? Purple Rain Tour - in Providence, RI, - I won tks on the radio! Awesome! I was hooked 4ever!
2) Summer of 2000??? Jones Beach Amphitheatre - Long Island, NY, - Sunset Serenades were unbelievably romantic - and I attended that concert alone!
3) Summer of 2002??? Madison Square Garden - featuring Chaka Kahn and Sly and the Family Stone's Bassist ! The strawberries and chilled champagne served right before show time were a quintessential touch!
4) Musicology tour at the Nassau Coliseum!! The musicians were so "Hot" sounding and looking (sepecially the blonde Sax player!)

The most amazing performance was when I watched him rip a centaur in two behind an Arby's.

several times out at paisley park, when the friday night parties still went on (all those nights are a blur to me now, so i can't put an exact estimate of how many times he actually came out to play...i think i saw 'im 3 times or so there)...plus i saw the june 18th aftershow after the 3rd minnesota show back in '04

twice in 1997 i won tickets from a radio station both times.

paid to see him once in 98? damn i cannot remember .. anyway it was for the "larry 'n 'em" tour. really good seats. better than the ones i won.

i may be missing some here. but it's not a bad haul. glad i got to see him on the lovesexy tour. that's what really pushed me over the edge as a prince fan - the whole lovesexy era. i remember being in a corner of the arena (the stage was in the round so no seat was TOO far away) and we were right next to the speaker which blared out the police siren effect on 'bob george'. also remember either george clinton or mavis staples (or both?!) making a guest appearance but i didn't appreciate what was going on. i know better now.
