Quaintness Factor

It occurs to me - when Prince was in his "hey day", which I'll say was 78-89, the music industry was a lot different then. So it was much easier for him to get over like he did. Today, however, the landscape is completely different, and with all the technological developments that have come our way, it may actually be a case of how Prince translates today. Do I think Prince would have any success if he had just came out in 2001? Probably not. One might think of his more recent music as having a "quaintness factor." Not that this makes the music better or worse, it just might not seem as sophisticated to this generation's music listener. However, although Prince's music may not always be new, it is ALWAYS fresh. Thoughts, ya'll?

There are several factors relivant to time that Prince owes a great deal of graditude to for providing a vichecle for his sucess.

Nonetheless, factoring out all time restraints, but only dealing with the core nature of Prince states clearly that if he was to be brought into this time frame, he would have done alRight.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.
