Prince is lucky it got that high on the list. Had he produced a great album instead of a mediocre one, he could have easily hit #1.

He did produce a great album. Sorry you can't hear it. wink

People don't freak out so early... Look - Prince gained over 10,000 units when Alan Jackson gained none! It's not like theyre randomly counting disc against disc.. It all goes how the tallies come in and in what order they are posted on the web - it doesn't reflect a real-time total! smile

With that rationale, TRC should have been #1!!

So, does all the music you think is good ends up being no. 1?

Today's charts are ridiculous! I never thought I would see the day when Prince would have to compete with a Walt Disney soundtrack and a Barry Manilow CD of fifties covers disbelief

Makes absolutely no sense.I know charts shouldn't matter, but I'm gonna be really pissed if Prince doesn't debut at Number One mad

When was the last time you watched tv? It's been promoted like crazy on mostly all cable station and on all regular tv stations. I saw it on ch. 9 yesterday and I was like whoa. Then Ch. 4 was promoting it and Ch.5 I've seen the promotion.

anyway... wait 'til all the results are in
not to mention what happens after the songs get "out" and people start talkin'

it seems that both of you fail to remember that quality has little to do with sales or chart postion. the gimmick of the purple ticket will get it to chart and then hopefully generate intrest and more sales independant of the gimmick.

Oh ok, haven't seen people mention that there are TV ads running for this in the US.
But I guess that's not gonna do anything - he'll either do some appearances somewhere soon or start the tour or this will sink without much ado. Or release 'Love'.
