The Wizard - "The Word" can be release next before "Love" "The Word" is my favorite, but "Love" is the next best thing on the album
Some will say "Fury" We've already seen "Fury" - a given success. Word or Love next will guarantee success The point is The Release Order of the songs is critical These are Radio tunes ... Don't F it up, Sir.

Next release should be Fury, but he needs to really smoke the video production, and just include cameos of himself, like in Call My Name. Sexy brunette for this video. Fury is definately pop, probably won't get any airplay on R&B radio.
It's quite obvious that Incense and Candles was produced for radio, and to release. This is -fo'sho- R&B, some crossover potential. This should be after Fury. After he has everyone's attention, next release should be Love, then maybe Word. If Word was my song,I would pimp Word the the contemporary Christian Music stations that play Christian Rap/Rock-Rock/R&B..... You know, like do really nice video... Will end like Te amo Corazon...

I think the public's perception is that Prince is just a religious weirdo these days. "The Word," despite the fact that it is a good song, would only re-enforce that image. People want the old Prince back. So if he's looking to hit the top 40 again, the only two options are "Lolita" and "Love". I think "Lolita" has a stronger hook and is more reminiscent of the early 80's sound he's associated with--so that's what I'd push for if I was the Universal exec with the unenviable position of trying to tell Prince what to do.

I am not saying it because it is "my favorite", but that it stands the best chance of association with the "kids". After all, they are who pops an album. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

Love & Incense & Candles can rot in hell for all i care..
I liked "Love" at first until I heard them playing it at Tower a couple days ago and boy oh boy was i embarrassed for prince....in theory its a good song but prince's vocals sound too much like he is a poser. Space for sale...
