"Fury" used in TV ad for Charmed I was watching TV (in Australia) today and saw an ad for Charmed. During the ad the voice over said "hell aint got no fury like a woman scorned". I have no idea how this fits into the context of the ad because I wasn't really listening, but when the voice over said this my ears priked up (naturally). I just thought it was something cool and something worth sharing. Unfortunately they didn't play the song during the ad (that would've been kick ass) they just said a line from the song. Still cool though.

It's a realatively common phrase...
but still, it's always cool when you notice those little things.

Oh my... you know Prince pays homage to well-known line from Shakespeare, right? I'm surprised you've never heard it before...

I really doubt this line was used because of Prince. I'm sure it was just a coincidence.

You know Charmed was okay when it first started it out, i watched it here and there, but i missed bout a season and when i tuned in again Suddenly they all had
Buffy Powers. I thought that was a bad steal. Then when they suddenly had a Wizard School living in the closet. I just threw my hands up and prayed for the collapse of the WB. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

but what are the chances of them saying this in an ad the week 3121 comes out?
and also, the phrase comes from William Congreve, not Shakespeare. [Edited 3/25/06 3:34am]

Well, the line is not by Shakespeare either, but by a writer named William Congreve.
