I don't compare them too much, but i love the funk of 'Goldnigga'. Especially "Johnny".
I heard P play this back in '93 in the Erotic City room in Glam Slam and I started chanting the chorus 'Uh oh oh, uh oh oh' and the people around me thought i was on crack. The album(GN) came out about a month or two previously, but no one there had heard it. After P jammed on it for a while and then started singing, I was redeemed. "Tell me, tell me, tell me what am I suppose 2 do I never had another granny look like U Every time I see U, girl, my Johnny get hard Harder than the handle on the rake in my yard Harder than the brownstone brick on my house If I ever, ever, ever get U into my mouth (Yeah) I'll drink U like a 40 in an alcoholic's hand Baby, can't U understand?" -- | |

while I don't care that much about "Gold Nigga" (maybe because I don't have it on a CD) I am simply in love with "Exodus". I love the funky songs "Return of the Bumpsquad", "Big Fun", "The Exodus Has Just Begun" and really enjoy the haunting atmosphere of "Hallucination Rain". Also, I should admit that I don't care that much for "Get Wild". But some of the seques are too much fun - especially the Mash Potato Girl story. - I was so mad I bought this joint.
Anyway, in spite of what I said earlier I really enjoy "Johnny" - this shit is great, as would Sonny T. say (at least I think he would). ______________
