http://www.cnn.com/2006/S...index.html I suggest giving this guy a call and letting him know what you thought of his HORRIBLE REVIEW Robert Fiore 212-522-1212 a) What does this have to do with Radio 2 ? b) Reviews that you don't agree with WILL happen, people are entitled to their opinion. Phoning someone to abuse them is pretty sad don't you think ? Straight up pathetic. Only a loser would call a reviewer to complain. PATHETIC. [Edited 3/23/06 17:56pm]

darshan said: Just to clarify, because some are saying this is just hype, there will be a special Prince announcement in the week of April 17.This was said on air by BBC Radio 2 DJ Mark Goodier, who has always pushed Princes’ music, and has been playing tracks from 3121 (Radio 2s’ Album of the Week). I am convinced that what will happen is a radio –only concert that will be broadcast some weeks after. I am so sure of this as this is exactly what happened with Stevie Wonder last year. A question related to the artist will be asked and the hundreds or so winners will get tickets to see the show live. Also note, fellow DJ, Janice Long is playing tracks from the album too. See the BBC Radio 2 website for playlist and programme schedule details. I hope that leaves y’all SATISFIED
You're right this isn't hype but I've spoken with the person whose job it is to arrange this event and Prince is still not confirming his potential trip to Europe. We all know what Prince is like for changing things yeah ?

Yeah he did that around teh time of the ACT II Tour (and that was Mark Goodier too). I I remember correctly they usually take months to organise but Princes people called Radio 1 the day before and said he wants to do it so tehy pulled it all together really quickly. It was a tight and funky affair with tracks such as 1999, DMSR, Pope, Baby Im A Star and Delerious played

Nah it was on Radio 1 not Radio 2...and they interviewed Goodier in teh build up to it...he asked Prince if he was happy with everything, Prince ignored him but one of his flunkies said, yes Prince is happy (probably ignored him because of "Prince")

READ THE LAST LINE: If you wish to know what the announcement is...obviously the date has been changed...
page 150 in the Radio Times gives an insight into Chris Evans' first day on Drivetime and I thought you'd be interested to read what it says: "The announcement earlier this year that Chris Evans was to move into the Drivetime slot vacated by Johnnie Walker unleashed a torrent of outraged letters to "Radio Times" and gave certain newspapers yet another chance to take a pop at the broadcaster. Give the man a break! His Saturday afternoon show for Radio 2 has been a revelation, a real return to form. You might not enjoy the organised mayhem, you may even loathe his ebulliant self-confidence. But there's no denying that, when it comes to full-on, live entertainment, Chris Evans is the shiniest star in he radio firmament. This new run sees many of the elements of Walker's show left untouched - such as the business, travel and sports new - but itwill mainly focus upon upbeat music to get you home in a good mood. Guests lines up so far include des Lynam, Joan Collins, Tom Jones, and Kaiser Chiefs singer Ricky Wilson. But, best of all, today (Tuesday 18/4/06) the launch of a competition to fly to Minneapolis to watch Prince in concert, in his own living toom.
