Here is why he is doing press. Motown was like, look Prince, I don't care if you are the Pope, this contract says that you are doing this X amount of press...bump that I don't like media shhhhh. We gave you a 100 million dollar advance for this ONE album. That means you need to sell some muh-f%(kin records. This aint an NPG thing by itself, fool! And if you pull any more stunts, we'll take you to court and sue you for your house in Italy, SUCKA!

It's in the paper contract so you march your ass onto that studio stage and promote this album we're putting out!

At least, I think so anyway. It worked for Sony

As a 'youngin' myself, 19, I wonder at the way some older fans assume if you're young you can't appreciate Prince or other great music. I watch 106 & Park on occassion, but I also love Prince and, happily, most of my peers know good music as well. Age is irrelevant when it comes to finding music that speaks to you personally. I realized this long ago, why haven't some of you?
