"Te Amo Corazón" has really grown on me

I've been unable to get it out of my head for the past few days. When I first heard it, "Te Amo Corazón" soundly merely pleasant to my ears, but as time has progressed, I'm starting to love it. The woodwinds and synths just took their time to etch themselves into the ether of my mind. This song recalls the summer breeze of Parade for me in more ways than one. Nevertheless, it seems to be unlike any song in his canon, and this is quite the feat considering the sheer volume of his catalogue. I keep hearing more subtleties in the textures and it is clear that Prince put a lot of care into this one. thumbs up!

No, it just doesnt do anything for me... infact i tend to skip it. For some reason it just doesnt sit right on the album imho. It could easily have gone to release without it and we wouldnt have thought 'this album needs a slow latin song' lol

Actually, TAC has grown on me too. When I first heard it I thought it was pretty boring... Prince on autopilot. I like it a lot more now though. If only the production wasn't so slick, I think it could be a really brilliant record.

I like this track a lot, altough towards the end the arrangements go a bit too off with the more subtle first part. (well basically I'm not keen on how the strings are mixed and there's some extrafluous synth fluff there too).

This one is for us elders, kids!

i didn't like it at first either. i thought it was very run of the mill. but then i listened to Black Sweat and i cvhanged my mind on it. i actually think it's a great little track. plus the version he did on the Brits made me like it more.

Put it this way... thinking back to similar songs like The Greatest Romance and TMBGITW... Te Amo Corazón is a lot better than any of those. Definitely a grower.
