You all are some lucky people. There's nothing like actually looking forward to a release... It coming out, then its on hold, then its unheld, then its cancelled again. Then it mistakenly is put out for a couple hours in a few stores, but you cannot get there in time... its gone again.

If prince's music wasn't so damn good I would be SO turned off right now. But if it wasn't so damn goos I wouldn't want them in super high quality.

But i don't mean to complain (even though I am...) I've been bitching a lot about this lately... But I really wanted to hear how this all sounded. The hits and the mixes.

I'm worried this may never come out. I think there's more to this story than we know.

The Best Buy in North Austin,TX claimed to have the set around 3:30PM Central time.

Unfortunately, I don't have a car and my friends wouldn't give me a lift to pick the discs up, who knows if BB still has UP in stock?

I did manage to order Ultimate Prince from an Ebay dealer last Sunday for $25, who knows if I will ever get it.

Picked up a copy at Best Buy here in Orlando at 7 PM. They had a "sale price " sign in front of the 10 or so copies they had for sale.

I got 4 - 1 for me, 1 for a fellow orger and 1 up for grab on ebay.

I went to Target and saw an empty spot with a sign advertising the $9.98 sale. I asked a clerk who really didn't seem to know much, but he checked the rest of the Milwaukee area and couldn't find a Target that had any. He did give me a raincheck though. I also called Best Buy and they gave me the story everyone else is hearing about them being defective or something and had to be sent back. I also tried the Exclusive company and got pretty much the same answer, and by the way he said it, it sounded like I wasn't the first call he got asking for it.
Anyone here have any luck in the Milwaukee area?

I did and I was mad too. The adds said it was only $15 so that's all I took and I got there and it waws $25. Geeze I was ticked! But I'll get it tomorrow.

Fuck fuck fuck. I totally forgot to stop at the Best Buy again today! My job is really starting to interfere with this Prince stuff--1st I missed the DC Tamar concert announcement, now this. I went to BB last night & no luck, but I meant to check again today. I'm sure if they had any they are long gone by now...should I even bother going in tomorrow?

I'll just cross my fingers it's a *delay* not a cancel.

i got 7 copies..keeping 2, the rest will probably be going up on ebay.

3 Best Buys, 3 Targets a Borders, a Barnes & Noble, and a Walmart.... and lots of near-misses and frustration.

So when I came home, I said "fuck it" and spent $50.00 for it on eBay.

now all you all who bought it for $50 or $100 on eBay, if it comes out next month and all of us are buying it for 15 bucks at best buy, are you gonna make little prince voodoo dolls and stick 'em in the microwave?

Not saying that some of you are lying, but I would love to see at least one person snap a photo of themselves holding these multiple copies they scored from these clueless retailers.
