That Vanity presented the award for best album of the year and Purple Rain won? She seem really happy for Prince. I thought they had a falling out. You'd think she would be kinda regretful that something she choose not to be apart of became so successful. But she wasn't. It seemed Prince and her made up pretty quickly. Did anyone eles notice this?

yes I noticed it...when it aired live 20 years ago.

I remember when Wendy's Dad introduced Prince & The Revolution before they took the stage and performed Purple Rain which had the entire house and every home in America crying. The performance was fucking amazing.
I wish I could see it again. Is it anywhere on the net?

I was like "Nah, P is waaay to cool for some silly award show. He's not going to show." Dig, I was 14, so give me a break. His performance of Purple Rain, still to this day, is one of my fave performances from him. He turned that shit OUT! And he was HELLA loud. But I guess started romantisizing Prince and Mayte because that was during "my" era I guess you could say. But I don't know....it really sounds like Denise was a big part of his life and left a lasting impression.
