Prince inducting Miles Davis? I've heard a rumor that Prince may be giving the speech for Miles Davis' induction into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. Has anyone else heard this? | |

It's Herbie Hancock, one of Miles' disciples! It would've been nice if it was our boy, though me may be in attendance! |

It really should be someone who worked with and was directly influenced by Miles for an extended period of time. Someone like Herbie Hancock or John McLaughlin or Chick Corea would be perfect. Wynton never worked with Miles and they had a controversial relationship at best (Miles saw Wynton as a 'nostalic act' and Wynton saw Miles as a pop sellout  ). Seem very sincere. Good for Miles. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |
