5.1999
6.Purple Rain
7.ATWIAD
8.Parade
9.SOTT
10.Lovesexy
11.Batman
12.Graffiti Bridge
13.Diamonds and Pearls
14.O(->
15.Gold Nigga
16.The Hits/the B-Sides
17.1800-New Funk
18.Come
19.The Black Album
20.Exodus
21.The Gold Experience
22.Girl 6
23.Chaos and Disorder
24.Emancipation
25.Crystal Ball
26.The Truth
27.Kamasutra
28.New Power Soul
29.The Vault
30.Rave Unto the Joy Fantastic
31.Rave Into the Joy Fantastic
32.The Very Best Of Prince
33.The Rainbow Children
34.One Nite Alone
35.One Nite Alone...Live!

1999: The New Master (on purpose - it's not allowed in my home)

GoldNigga (kinda on purpose, though if it magically fell in my lap one day i'm sure i'd keep it just for collector geek value...from what i've heard of it though, i'm in no hurry to hunt it down)

Did U say Purple Rain through C-Note?
Does that mean you won't be getting 3121 even though it's been described as an updated 1999?

The New Master is definately not his strongest work but it's not an album so it's ok if you don't have it. Gold Nigga on the other hand sounds really good from what I've heard of it, especially Black MF. Different strokes perhaps.

do you count the madhouse albums as prince albums? i have 'em both on different formats, but i've yet to find 16 on CD...and i'd LOVE to have that one on CD, because i enjoy it lots more than 8, and i consider 8 a neglected classic in terms of great prince music.

i'll be getting the new album, but only because it's a bit of an act of tipping since i heard it early. i'll rip it and end up selling it, otherwise it'll sit in my cd case collecting dust.

I didn't put those on the list cos then we'd have to include the Vanity, Apollonia, Time, Family, Sheila E. albums etc etc

yeah, that's true...though sometimes i think of N*E*W*S and Xpectation as madhouse albums under prince's name, which is why i brought that project up.

...thats what really bugs me, that I dont have the album art, as cheesy as it is...I wish I had the original release not a copy or a download...I feel so incomplete :insert sarcastic boo-hoo here:...I guess I'm just gonna have to fork over entirely too much money for it on ebay...

You can't put the Madhouse albums in the same category at Time, Family etc. Those are protege albums, but Madhouse is prince project, just like the NPG albums.

If madhouse doesn't make the cut, then by the same definition, the NPG albums are out. smile

News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I'm not a computer guy (part of the reason I don't have the NPGMC albums is
that I'm on dial-up and don't want to bother to even attempt to DL those)
But, yeah, as long as they are on your hard-drive, you should be able to
put them on a CD-R.

I generally use Windows Media Player and when I look at the file names for these albums they end in .wma Does that help answer your question? You can definitely burn them to CDr's...I did that using Roxio.

I am only missing Very Best of Prince as far as "official" full length albums go. If I see it for sale at some used CD store for cheap, I'll probably buy it, but it's not high on my list.

I want to get all the associates; I still need: The Family, some more Sheila E's, V6 & A6, Carmen, & the Madhouses first--but they are infinitely more difficult and expensive to get. sigh I also need to get all the maxi singles. I'd love to have everything on vinyl too, but haven't really started that project in earnest. (A second job to support my Prince habit, wouldn't hurt either. wink )

BTW, Rave In2 is for sale at NPG Music club for $12 or $14 US. You don't even have to be a member to buy it, just go to the Retail Store.
