I don't have:

For You
Controversy
1999
ATWIAD
Parade
Goldnigga
1-800-NEW-FUNK
Exodus
Emancipation
Crystal Ball
The Truth
Kamasutra
The Vault
Rave In2
The Very Best of Prince
The Rainbow Chillen
One Night Alone
One Night Alone...Live!
Xpectation
NEWS
Chocolate Invasion
Slaughterhouse
C-Note

I know that's a lot, but I've only been a fan for a little over a year and have 17 official CD's, plus a growing bootleg collection. Since I'll have the rest of my life to collect these CD's, I'm gonna spread it over about Prince CD's a year. The one I bought for the first quarter of this year was Controversy. Next quarter will probably be ATWIAD or For You.

I didn't put those on the list cos then we'd have to include the Vanity, Apollonia, Time, Family, Sheila E. albums etc etc

You can't put the Madhouse albums in the same category at Time, Family etc. Those are protege albums, but Madhouse is prince project, just like the NPG albums.

If madhouse doesn't make the cut, then by the same definition, the NPG albums are out. smile

We can't drop the NPG albums cos he performs that stuff live so the only alternative is to add the 2 Madhouse albums and officially declare 3121 the 44th Prince album. He could produce a little leaflet like Disney do in their DVD's listing them all.

I downloaded it from NPGMC, how more official can you get? Obviously I don't have the album art though.

...thats what really bugs me, that I dont have the album art, as cheesy as it is...I wish I had the original release not a copy or a download...I feel so incomplete :insert sarcastic boo-hoo here:...I guess I'm just gonna have to fork over entirely too much money for it on ebay...

I thought One Nite Alone was only available to those who signed up to npgmc at the start. Was it ever available in the shops?

I am only missing Very Best of Prince as far as "official" full length albums go. If I see it for sale at some used CD store for cheap, I'll probably buy it, but it's not high on my list.

I want to get all the associates; I still need: The Family, some more Sheila E's, V6 & A6, Carmen, & the Madhouses first--but they are infinitely more difficult and expensive to get. sigh I also need to get all the maxi singles. I'd love to have everything on vinyl too, but haven't really started that project in earnest. (A second job to support my Prince habit, wouldn't hurt either. wink )

BTW, Rave In2 is for sale at NPG Music club for $12 or $14 US. You don't even have to be a member to buy it, just go to the Retail Store.

Unfortunately they charge almost the same again to post it to Ireland that's why I never got anything from NPG retail.

I haven't got the very best of as I didn't see the point. I am also recently without the gold experience. I still have the case but strangely the CD has disappeared. Everything else is present and correct though biggrin .

With tracks like "Sexuality," "Private Joy" and "Let's Work," you are seriously missing out, IMO.

But sadly there's no hot-dick-and-bubblegum on the album. You'll have to find the glorious 12" elsewhere.

Just Goldnigga and The Slaughterhouse.

I used to have two copies of the 15-track Goldnigga CD and sold both of them on ebay.

I downloaded The Slaughterhouse from NPGMC, but something is wrong with my license and I can't burn it onto a disc so it's stuck on my brother's PC. Until I figure out what the problem is, I don't consider it part of my collection.

One Night alone ...live and the very best of Prince.
I refuse to buy the very best of best of because it's NOT, and Prince's bootlegged concerts are 100% better than the so called official live set. Prince should be pimp slapped for releasing that set. If I find the One Night Alone set for $5.00 I'd buy it otherwise, I won't.
