It's gonna be a beautiful night" Which version do you prefer? The live recording on the album or the live performance on the Sott movie? I go back and forth. |

Ive never really thougt about it.
SOTT movie version is great because it looks as though they are having a lot of fun doing it. Ive always thought Princes best performances are the ones where he looks as though he is having a great time. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

There's a live version on SOTT movie? are you sure? overdubbed, lipsynched. whatever. Even the version on the album isn't live. Other owners of the 'Testament' boot will back me up on that. Nearly all the vocals were added at a later date. |

Everything that has been live from Prince has been overdubbed (unless its a bootleg). Even Purple Rain (the song) was overdubbed a ton from its original version.
