His conversations when he is alone with god.

He is just adorable. He is kind hearted, humble and his love is the most beautiful light I have seen in another.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

I love funny, goofy songs during the early NPG days like Gangster Glam, Horny Pony, New Power generation, ect, ect....alot of his fans think songs like those are crappy and way below his ablities and they are but the are so FUN! razz

His arrogance and general assholeness. I just love the fact that he can clear a restaurant right when it's about to close, just to get a plate of French fries. In a way,it makes me proud of him that he's so arrogant and eccentric. He's not like most other musicians.

Yeah, I just saw a video of him doing a Tora Tora interview. He's eccentric, but way cool!

1. His arrogance....he´s got every right to be arrogant, he´s deserved it and worked hard for it. lol

2. I love a lot of his ´post-80´s output...in fact, I switched from being a casual listener to "hardcore fan" during the turbulent early 90´s...and after seeing him live in ´93.

Sure, I also love his 80´s work, no doubt about that, I kinda grew up with Purple Rain and ATWIAD, but I also love a lot of his 90´s output just as much.

3. The name change ! Yes, I think it was one of his boldest, most daring and courageous moves ever....not many artists have done anything similar.
Of course, there were name changes before, like Carlos Santana becoming Devadip or Cat Stevens converting to Islam and becoming Yusuf Islam..but, seriously, changing your name to an unpronouncable symbol, not allowing even your own staff to ever call you Prince again, risking and partly fucking up your legacy and career for something you believe in ???
You need some nerve and big balls to do this...in the end, it all made perfect sense.

And I love the whole alchemistic/numerologic approach behind it...no, the WB record contract wasn´t the only reason for this, and no, he didn´t contradict himself when he became Prince again. His spiritual reasons went hand in hand with his contractual reasons.

Again, this was a bold move on his behalf.

4. That being said, I loved the attitude he displayed during the mid 90´s. even if it meant alienating a lot of his fans and the media.

5. He´s always late lol

I love his goofy side too,and when he forgets his self for a moment and lets the cool facade drop,he's like a little kid, that is so endearing to me.Also, and I know I'm in the minority here,I like the Vegas horns.

fonkee

His new directions in music
His friendship with Larry Graham (musicwise) Larry Graham = Funk
His freaked out funk from 90's on incl. the raps / Jughead-Loose!-Sacrifice Of Victor-Billy Jack Bitch-319-I Like Funky Music-Prettyman-etc etc and the over the top productions from that era.

I really don't get the fans who only dig 'the 80's stuff', I tend 2 think they don't like Funk... Wich is unbelievable 2 me if ur a Prince fan... confused He always stayed Funk!

The fact that he makes those granted the privilege being in his inner circle sign confidentiality agreements and they know he will be merciless if they break 'em. The man knows how to keep his personal business off the streets. I love that about him! thumbs up!

I love that too. Prince is so full of himself you can't help but like it.

It's funny, really. Most other stars that pull such diva behaviour are just annoying, but somehow we're willing to forgive it if it's our lil hero. Favouritism is silly, no? razz

It takes a lot of balls to be Prince. That alone is worth admiring. Most people wouldn't even think of pushing things as far as he does. Sure, it's occasionally embarassing to be a fan, but it's never boring. smile

Other celebs could take a few lessons from him. No need to bitch and moan about your whole life being an open book if you don't let it become one.

Incence and Candles
The Word

As two highlights of 3121 - the former because he uses pitch correction (the cher-effect) in a way that is both parodical and effective to the song and that enters new possibilities to Prince's production arsenal (you even hear it in the end of The Dance, where it adds to the emotion, I think).

His parodies, when they're made with love. Like:
Do U Lie
Blue Light
Slow Love (sounds like a parody, by now I think he was serious! smile)
