I didn't realise that it was Tamar at the Naacp Vanguard awards !! She sings well and looks hot.

I saw her site yesterday, it's beautiful. And she really has a great voice.

Interesting that at the NAACP awards he called her 'Ashley' so perhaps she hadn't been given her new moniker 'Tamar' at that point. Did Prince come up with the name like some of his other proteges, eg. Carmen Electra?

Scratch that, Tamar is her real middle name. Still, it was probably Prince's idea she used the name Tamar instead.
