That would be a great stunt! We are all so proud and hyped now about something that will never excist. Or maybe a double cd comes out; the leaked side and the release date side. O.k. I'll stop talking grazy now..... Thank God this ain't Monopoly

i get the idea that one of the rules for this whole viral approach to marketing the album is that person-to-person sharing is fine (though they wouldn't say as much), but posting the music on filesharing sites or broadcasting it without authorization is something they go after. | |

I really really wish that he'd drop an album with absolutely no fan fare or anyone knowing. Maybe like a week in advance. Or nothing heard until then. Universal and Prince still have the Purple ticket catch, ala giving away Musicology at the concerts to generate album sales. I know that I am going to purchase several copies of 3121 that I will give to family and friends hoping for a ticket. That, a strong list of Pop songs and killer tour is going to sell 3121. I hope Love gets released, but it needs a KILLER video to support it. The leak of 3121 is a real mistery!
I still remember when Madonna's latest only was leaked a week before the released date. I was one of the first to get the mp3's of it. The security was so tight, that we only got first 80kbps rips and then...the leak in vbr quality. And WB was really tight with Madonna's album. But 3121...The silence of the record company and npgmc makes come to the conclusion that it's a marketing plan! | |

hes been doing that for a few years with the b-sides and singles from the NPGMC though , SST , Silver Tongue , Magnificent and all the ahdio downloads from the 1st year etc thats good enough for most of us ...
