Are you for real? Of the entire fan base, England and Europe have probably had the very best pickings of Prince tours, concerts, aftershows and TV appearances! We've had it easy since the mid eighties, whilst America (don't even get me started on Australia, Mexico, Canada and numerous other territories that have been passed over year after year). We've been spoilt rotten over the years!

In light of that fact, I really didn't feel hard-done-by when he decided to tour Australia and the far east in 2003, and then concentrate on America during 2004/2005.

If you've missed out before, don't you worry none - you'll get your turn soon enough, keep 'em peeled right here over the next few weeks.

I Totally understand the point you are making here BUT - do you not realise that if you are a fan of lets say - 'Girls Aloud'(America may not be as fortunate not to know of this band) - Its easy just to switch on the tv or open the paper to see a list of these people are and where thay are playing etc etc - for people like me - who work 5 days a week (Ive just had a week off and have luckily found this site on Prince) and am not into the 'mainstream' like Girls Aloud, then - it is slightly harder. Say no more....

Holy ...., I just saw those girls on TV this morning and some first round participants of "Pop Idol" and stuff alike sing better than them! The song wasn't even too bad, but with those flushing loos performing it - nooo! (One of the rare occasions I had preferred lip-synching.)

On the original topic - the man can't be everywhere in the world at the same time, and the US is his home.

I know what you're saying Wendyrachael, our media seems to be so saturated by throwaway manufactured pop acts that when you trawl through channels and literature in search of anything Prince related(and believe me its my main preoccupation!)it feels like gold dust when you find it.Hopefully the coming months will prove lucky for us UK fans and we'll get to see a lot more of him in many ways. wink
Time is a trick....

The only thing that puts me off is that I was at a club last night and requested "Black Sweat" to be played from the DJ and the guy didn't have it! Release it here, short man, dammit!!! biggrin

If you're feeling left out why not try living here in Australia where he has only toured twice in his entire career - then you will REALLY feel left out lol He's toured the UK in 1981, 86, 87, 88, 90, 92, 93, 95, 98, 2002 and most probably 2006 as well...
