I really don't get the posts about no one wants to see her. You know upfront it ain't a Prince show so dammit, don't go. And, please, for the love of all that's sacred, don't come on here bitching about how Prince didn't perform enough. Exactly. That is why I'm not going, even though I hesitated not to go. I'm aware of that. I guess for me, I'd rather have my introduction to her cost $10.99 for a CD versus $30 for the ticket to a show. That's just me. I'm pretty picky with my concertgoing. Why am I feeling the need to explain myself to death?

Anyone else going? YAY! I'm going to see them in Minneapolis! I'll be there too!!! Can't wait for the show. There should be a get together before the show somewhere near The Orpheum. 'You must first be a Prince before you can be King'

It is possible to not dig Tamar without any racial connotations, you know. This isn't tamar.org after all.
That said, I hope the shows go well for her. I'd be interested to see her in a real live setting as opposed to TV performances. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

well, sometimes seeing someone live puts their studio work in a different light. i'm hoping i'll dig tamar's music live next week, and it'll get me geared up for her record...trying to keep my mind open to it all!

I went to the Tamar show here in NY. Of course I went because Prince was going to be there and I really wasn't thinking much about Tamar. But I really enjoyed the show! There were times I stopped staring at Prince to watch Tamar, especially when she did certain songs. The show was really good and I think that Tamar has talent. I only wish she did more of her own songs, though the ones that I heard were pretty good. They do a lot of covers. Yes, Prince is singing and playing backup but he gets in some great guitar solos!!! Go to the show with an open mind and you will have a good time! To GOD be the Glory!

Certainly! But liking Tamar shouldn't ever be considered a prerequisite to being racially unbiased. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Yes, it's very possible, but it's also very obvious that there's a certain segment of Prince's fanbase that wants P's band and associates to look a certain way.

Maybe have a 3121 listening party so we can get a sneak peak. Keep your fingers crossed! [Edited 2/24/06 6:50am] 'You must first be a Prince before you can be King'
