7" piccy disc of Girls & Boys.

It's meant to be a shaped disk, but it was never cut.

I think newer fans would enjoy finding a lot of the 12" singles and stuff.

Prince is from the days of the LP and the 12" - grab some of them and enjoy the large artwork, the sound of the vinyl and the fun of the contact sport of the 12" over the invisible medium of iTunes and such!

I totally agree with you. Even though I am not a "newer" fan--I didn't have access to nor interest in vinyl during the 80s. I have started buying some of the easier to find Prince et. al. LPs. But when I think about trying to get ALL the albums, 12", B-sides, etc, it's so overwhelming--I don't even know where to begin!! (It was hard enough tracking down all the Prince CDs and I still don't have all of the CDs for the 'associates'...)
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

thats easy for me, i have all my prince vinyl in one of those cube trunks (you know those foot locker type trunks only square) so i would just have to grab that and run out the house, while the roof was on fire.....

Mine's too heavy. I know for a fact it takes two people and a hand truck to move it smile

If you can find "Let's Work" 12" - that is the one. Only place I know of to find the extended version.
We all want the stuff that's found in our wildest dreams.

You have to have in your collection the 1999 and P.R. albums..

These are 2 ground breaking albums of his career.

I'd save my "51 hours" promo or the gold vinyl promo of "Sexy MF" if my house was on fire. I love all my vinyl wether it's easy to get or hard to find. I'd want to save it all.

As for what vinyl is a must. I agree with the "Let's work" 12" single. I have the officially released US 12", the German 12" and the US promo 12" of it.
Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

Has anyone listened to Madhouse 8 or 16 lately? They are so crisp and "Live in your living room" sounding...Delightful!
